There is what we'd call a fail-safe method to creating a high-end modern look in a home office: Use white as a base for furniture, hit it with your favorite accents in the decorations (whether it be punches of color or sexy wood grain), and of course, keeping those wires off the floor helps measurably as well. Megan's style:
"I love color and I also love crisp, modern white decor. I wanted our place to feel bright, cheerful, young and modern with some eclectic accents. Over time, I’ve collected a mix of decorative pieces from stores here in the US and also from our international travels. I’m constantly looking for something unique and inspiring to give my clients. So I often shop at some of the same stores for my vases and decorative pieces as I do for personal purchases. I figure if those stores inspire me in my personal life, they probably will inspire some fun floral designs as well."We also notice that while technology plays a primarily role in the office that it rarely takes focus in the room since there's so much goodness to look at around the room. Perhaps the key to the comfortable space is really getting in touch with that interior decorator and throwing up all of your inspirations around the space you spend the most time in.
