What happens when a talented designer leaves a bit of her heart in San Francisco? Apparently, good design ideas happen. Although Melissa Borrell no longer resides in the city she moved away a few years ago to attend the Rhode Island School of Design and now lives in her native Houston it still serves as a source of inspiration. We absolutely love her Golden Gate Bridge window shade.
The shadowy effect is created by using white ink on top of white fabric. With this shade, suddenly, a million-dollar view just became within reach.
A version with trees is also available at Greener Grass Design. The shades are priced at $120 each, and measure 36" wide x 72" long.
Check out Melissa's website to see her lovely jewelry and accessory designs as well.
