- Inspiration for my palette:
- With the re-do of my kitchen cabinets to a soft white, I knew that this large sunny room was the one where I could take the most risks. Inspired by the different options of the beautiful veggies and fruits that we eat (but probably a bit more so by the delicious red wine we drink), this "berry" shade was a perfect balance between elegant yet modern and different. The warm tones look gorgeous in the morning and evening sunlight especially, and it has inspired many lovely wine tasting parties since!

- Tips for using color successfully
- There's little reward without some risk. It wasn't easy for me to convince my husband to paint our kitchen "purple"... and there were times I second-guessed it as well. But even my most conservative friends gush about the color of our kitchen walls.

What an usualy kitchen colour! I love the simple, clean lines and I adore a fireplace in the kitchen.
That pop of berry is gorgeous against the graphic black and white stripes. I just may have to steal this idea for my kitchen!

Love the kitchen and the colour - great job!
I love the color and the kitchen itself. So jealous! Beautiful!
Where did you buy the striped curtains? I've been looking for something similar for a while but can't find it anywhere...was almost thinking of making them myself but I'm not that crafty..Thanks!
LOVE the curtains!!
You'd be surprised at how easy curtains are to make. They're just hemmed rectangles.
Kitchen and the color looks great. Lost me on the curtains that look like giant prison pants. Sorry, they carried daring too far.
