In the spirit of all things color related this month, I found myself drawn to this living room. The couch interlocks warm and cool tones of yellows, blues, and reds. It's nice to see that the primary yellow gold is brought out from a very subtle tone in the couch's fabric. Accenting the blues and reds, the dried roses and coffee table books help to warm up the room.
This is the central living room of a 2,200 square foot flat in Korea Town and home to three people — a film maker, actor and news reporter dwell in this warmly lit room (that was actually designed by previous roommates).
Rumor has it that the previous roommate who designed and coordinated this living space, was in fact involved in interior design. It's nice to see a different color palette in this room, as normally we may expect a blue, grey or even mushroom tone. I find the yellow is still soothing and pleasing to the eye, there is an earthiness to this room, while in presentation it appears more contemporary.
