We like to imagine what it might be like to live in a Salvador Dali painting. Always fascinated as a child with the melting clocks and strangely proportioned animals, Dali's surrealist images inspired our active imagination. Coming across these strange and wonderful pieces, we thought that it might be the closest that we can come to living in a Miro, Magritte or Dali universe...

While we can't see all of the crazy creations featured in Elle Decor's Wild Style: Melting Decor article working in our home, we certainly love the concepts. We might be able to find a spot for one or two of the lightbulbs that are seemingly melting and collapsing. The side table, though? Not so sure it would offer enough functionality to be worth it. Nonethless, we love this collection of gravity-defying, physically impossible-seeming decor items.
