Metal Sleigh Crib

We stumbled upon this metal sleigh crib by Corsican while watching Top Design and surfing during commercials. We definitely can't say we like it, but it did make us go "hmmmmmmmmm??!?!" We thought it was unusual and interesting enough to share with everyone.

The hammered or dimpled metal gives it a little bling. If we were in the market for a metal crib, we might prefer something a bit more industrial.

According to the site, you must be a "member" to get the price. But we're thinking that for many of you, price won't make it look any better or worse.

What do you think of it?

I think it's a bit prison-esque.

Prison-esque is right. I think it might be a little "cold" for a nursery.

I think my initial reaction was 'too cold for a nursery' but actually I'm kind of drawn to it and I think if you put some really rich colored linens in the crib it would make an interesting contrast, so I guess I'm torn but interested :)

Everyone's comments capture my feelings as well. I vacillate between liking and disliking. I like the pictured bedding - it looks kind of shimmery silver.

The crib may look kind of cool now, but it might not be so great when little Tiger figures out what lovely sounds can be made when you bang toys against it!
