Looking through our new December Domino, we flipped when we saw that Benjamin Moore has a brand new line of metallic finishes.
In the magazine there is room done in a pale, pearly gold (called Veil Cream) that manages to look really sunny and glowy with the white furniture and silver accents used in the room.
It's a subtle effect, but it looks fresh after years of flat matte walls.
The Studio Finishes line includes 5 metallic glazes. There are also 30 mixed colors with a metallic/pearlescent base.
A quick online search found them selling for $25 - 30./quart.

The paint as it appears in the Domino photo/article is much more subtle than the real thing. When we applied the veil cream it was obtrusively more metallic than we expected. Perhaps they mixed it wrong???
This paint looks horrible (veil cream). It is too metallic. Apparently they neglected to tell us that it needs to be applied with a sprayer. There is significant ragging.. do not buy this paint.
