The idea of a vacation home sounds incredibly luxurious to us, but the rise of prefab architecture is bringing that dream closer to many people. The Method Home is packed with features geared towards sustainability and energy efficiency, including the fact that the prefab process reduces construction waste to less than 10 percent of materials used, as opposed to conventional construction at 30 percent. (More pictures of the inside after the jump).

The Method blog has ongoing updates on the construction of the first model.
