When I ran across these images and realized this was not some fabulous wallpaper but an entire meticulously detailed hand-painted room my jaw just dropped. I am a big fan of this kind of illustration in design and art on a small scale, so to see how Ava Roth blew that up to encompass an entire room is like delicious eye candy for me. I love how she took her time, over a year, and slowly freehand painted when she had a spare moment.
The color choices of the dark gray base and the 'gold leaf' detailing are a perfect combination to allow the walls to stand out yet fade into the background at the same time. It allows her to still hang art on the walls without complete chaos and interference from the design. Fantastic job Ava, it is simply exquisite!
