We missed this mezzanine bed from Italian company Dear Kids when we posted about it last week...
Mezzanine beds are a common small space solution in small French bedrooms, a way to maximize the floor so that your kids have a place of their own to hang out, play or study, even in the smallest space.

What is the difference between a mezzanine bed and a loft bed?
Besides a fancier name.
maybe that's just what they call them over there, in italy. probably the same way they call a balcony a mezzanine?
No difference, its a to-ma-to/to-mah-to thing.
But I do tend to think that these pictures look great becuase the beds are space saving, and not pictured in small rooms, where in most cases they will be used. So the impact in situ might be a bit different.
