Yuck.

Whoa...the second one is really creepy, rather frightening. I have a hard time looking at that.
Really, AT? We need to see a bunch of paintings of Michael Jackson? I am SO SICK OF MICHAEL JACKSON. I'm really sorry he had such a hard life. But do we need to keep seeing pictures of him? Did any of us know the man? Did he want you to? He spent his life trying to do things privately. Enough is enough.
My problem is that I'm really tired of the subject of these artworks and the art itself is not actually all that good.
I have admired, adored, revered and defended Michael Jackson without apology for most of my life, but what I see in most of these portraits is not a celebration of his greatness, but a mockery of his failings (a couple of them, however, seem to say nothing at all). It is telling that they are all dated 2009. I question the motivation of the artists -- this feels much less like honest creative expression than it does well-timed exploitation.
Anna At D16, I totally agree w/u.
AT, how about photos of the inside of his home?
I love the second painting. Well done.
Diana and Jackson are two individuals that just will not go away.
