I am so jealous that the sofa is so expensive! I love it!!!
I just spent last night restoring the cord seat to one of those Hans Wegner chairs. My hands are still hurting. LOL
It's different, but I like this mixed idea.
Are chairs from CB2 comfortable?
I totally agree that mixing mid-century modern with modern can be fantastic!
Especially since I have two Kramfors sofas sitting opposite my John Van Koert dining set from 1956.
: )
Actually, I can't really imagine doing anything else but mixing the two. A totally mid-century mod place would be not only boring, but something like a stage set. It only seems natural to mix it all up.
The style of the Turkish carpet clashes with the MCM furniture and the pop art on the wall... otherwise it's a good blend. Well, the sideboard would work with the carpet, but not the sofa.
I like the 'painting', at least it gives the room some color, and the cabinet/sideboard is very nice. The other pieces are missing links that just didn't cut it.
