Good Questions

Q: When I found this chair at a flea market years ago, it was already stained, beaten up, and way past its prime, but the golden mustard color took my breath away and went so perfectly with my Indian-themed decor that I draped a colorful throw over its shoulder and loved it.

Now that I'm knee-deep in a complete decor overhaul, it's time to either reupholster or let 'er go, and I need an educated opinion. I was about to take her to the Goodwill, but as I've hunted for new chairs, several touted for their Midcentury pedigree remind me of my beloved golden girl. Despite the fact that the underside is roughhewn, it's made me wonder if the bones are strong enough to save. I've received a quote of $360 to re-foam, reupholster and refinish the legs (fabric not included).

What do you think, fellow Apartment Therapy devotées? Should she stay or should she go?
