The weather is finally getting cooler and it's time to consider running a humidifier at home.
We love the look and color options of these humidifiers by Middle Colors, a Japanese company.
Do you use a humidifier during the winter? More below the jump...

The Middle Colors humidifier is designed by Takashi Hiroshi Tsuboi, and can run for up to ten consecutive hours.

Is it available in the US anywhere? How much is it? The site is all in Japanese.
That's so much cuter than the stupid Vick's one I have now! Here in L.A. I'm already using the humidifier even though it's still 80s and 90s outside. So dry!
I'd also like to know if these are available for sale in the US. So much more attractive than the humidifier have right now.
They look like those rubber things that are designed to suck the boogers out of a baby's nose.
I use one in LA too when the Santa Ana winds blow. 4% humidity is enough to make my eyelids feel like they're lined with sandpaper.
In SF, we have our own built-in humidifiers...
...now if someone could invent a powerless/green dehumidifier so that the place doesn't turn into one gigantic mold spore, that would be teriffic.
I'm tired of seeing products that are not available to purchase.
after 10 hours does it die?
I sometimes put a glass of water near my heat register to add humidity to the house, but I will never be satisfied with it really, I grew up on the coast and now live in the prairies. Winter dryness here sucks
i agree with SeanG. don't tempt me with stuff i can fall in love with but not buy. its clutter.
Yes, it would be nice to have useful links to people that you can actually BUY from.
BUT, I also agree that this reminds me too much of a rubber baby booger bumper. ;-)
I like it! I might pick one up. $70 seems reasonable to me.
Hollie, it doesn't die after 10 hours, you just need to refill it with more water. :-)
Omg, I would LOVE to have one of these. I was looking at humidifiers at Home Depot the other day, and they could not have been uglier. Function is one thing, but I'm also going to have to look at it ya know?
Yeah, I'm with BepSF, please tell me of any cute DEhumidifiers. We are fighting the foggy mold all the time...
since i am the queen of sinus infections, a humidifier is a must when the heat is turned on--horrible forced air heat.
would love an attractive one, this one does look like an "aspirator" but there was one on last wk or the wk before, also Japanese, but much too expensive at about $300, i think. the one last wk was more appealing.
I want one! I wonder where I can buy one...since the website is in Japanese.
