What is the advantage of SMALL? For us living small makes us more organized and small makes us really understand the difference between a need and a want. We save money and we gain time together, we wouldn't want it any other way!

What's your favorite resource for your home?
So many...Room and Board, Etsy, Edgewater Antique Mall, Ebay, Flickr, DesignSponge, NotCot, Domino and of course Apartment Therapy.
What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home?
Our favorite element is how much our small, cool home reflects us, our style, and our personalities. Several pieces in our apartment were made by either us or family members so that makes it feel even more special and unique.

What a lovely bathroom! Good that no-one had modernized it. "Ruinovated" as someone at AT said a while back.
Love the acid green kitchen cabs, vinatge table fans, pop art on the walls. I am acid green with envy over your transom window.
I could never live with that much (or those shades) of green, but the french doors and balcony help make up for that. Overall a nice place; pleasant and cool.
Also loving the bathroom!
LOVE the bathroom and where did you get the TV stand? I've been looking for one like that for ages!
totally off topic, but is that the wonderfalls lion on your bedside table and if so where on earth did you get it?! so cool...
green green green... i love it. i love the vintage furniture, i wish you had other chairs in the kitchen though.
our small cool spaces should be friends.
Groovy green kitchen. I love the bath Rm tile. I bet that toilet gives a good flush!
Combination of an apartment with great bones and renters with great style.
super cool for the kitchen and your floors.. i bet you wish you could buy this place. super cute. i love. ooh just noticed the french doors in the bedroom.. LOVE it even more
I totally noticed the wax lion too, and figured that the owner had to be a Wonderfalls fan. I want one too!
I love the vintage fans, those blue chairs (where are they from?) the artwork arrangements and a kitchen, which isnât totally my style, but which you canât help smiling at!
The furniture and decorating blends well with the style and history of the house, creating a warm and personal home that uses space efficiently. Super cool.
Super cool based on those kitchen cabinets alone!
Love the bath!
Thanks for the nice comments! The orange lion is actually from the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago, they have "Mold-A-Rama" machines that make wax figures of various animals. And MoJonson the toilet does give a rather good flush.
I really love this one
Love this! The kitchen is awesome! Super Cool!
Love it! Super Cool!
I remember my mom begging my dad to purchase the filament and smoked acrylic pendant lamp from Sears. I loved that lamp.
i love the green, and the bathroom...
Beautiful! Lots of light, love the color choices- very nice place.
One of my favorites so far. I want to see more!
so good.
i love the cabinets. places that are done well and look livable are so nice to see. i love the saarinen side chairs and am looking for a couple for my place.
Love the green kitchen cabinets and I love your banana painting. Everything's great.
ditto...dreamy...love the artwork too
wow!!! great job you guys!! i love the colors of the bathroom and kitchen.. bedroom looks cozy as well... also like the layout of the artwork on the walls...
Love it all! Lots of attitude.
i like this!
did you paint the kitchen yourself?
i hope you get some good votes...it's hard when you're posted at the end of friday. GOOD LUCK!
my favorite!
the residents of this place have taste to spare and tons of guts in the color department.
clean and stylish but obviously inhabited, with a good mix of new and vintage.
the corner by the bed with the lounge chair, bookcase, wall sconce, and vintage fans is PERFECT.
Love your kitchen!!! Super Cool!
I really like your place! The kitchen is killer and the bathroom is so lovely. This might be a really weird question but where did you get the lime green fabric storage bin in the bathroom? I've been looking for some!
Hi Jessibee, I got it at Target, they should still have some in the home storage/shelving section.
Thanks again for the nice comments everyone!
I love the openness feel to the place. I love the french doors. I think this place is cool and i would definitely like to see more of this place.
Great color; great style. Loved the kitchen. Also, I know the floor plans are probably not exact, but why wouldn't you put a bed in the alcove leading to the bathroom? Even if you could only slink next to the bed to get o the bathroom, it would make your living space a real living space, even if you had to put your dressers in your living room.
I love that bathroom so much. It's traditional yet has the color quirk that makes it distinct, gives it soul.

Wow! love the colors. Bathroom details are just so perfect
When I saw the kitchen I almost fainted. It's amazing!
nice place to live in, the green looks like slim but i think its pretty cool lookin good luck james.
This is one of the most colest apartments i have ever seen, reminds me of the austin powers house,.. yeahhhhhhhhh babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,...
love the green!!!
Ugg.. I thought that green had left us for good. Apparently I was wrong.
Everything besides the kitchen is great! You've got the feeling of lots of space without actually having space. The artwork, the furniture, and the personalities of the homeowners all mesh together with the existing architecture of the space!
One thing tho, I want you to repeat after me: "I will buy a bookshelf, and pick my books up off the floor"
It's okay. I put cool.
What is not to love in this one. I will take green in any shade, but I am in love witht he bathroom - I wish mine had been left original and not redone over the years.
Love the kitchen, my fave color these days. Same question as others: did you paint the cabinets or did you get them somewhere?
If you painted those cabinets can you please, please PLEASE tell us what brand/color paint you used?!?!?!
I'm getting ready to paint my cabinets and I would love to do them the same green.
GORGEOUS!
Your bathroom is darling!
I love the green kitchen and the bathroom is wonderful. the green chair at the dining room table just doesn't look that great because of all the green in the kitchen. It might be better in red or orange.
