- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love living in an old building. Despite its somewhat shabby shape, the beautiful details, including the crown molding and built-ins, are what make this space special for me. As a grad student, I spend A LOT of time at home working, camped out on the couch reading, so it was important to me to make sure my space was completely my own quirky taste but still cozy and calming. Also, my closet is an absolute life-saver. It consistently tends to be more cluttered than the rest of my space, but with the simple close of a door it all can disappear.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- I love to have people over, so my biggest challenge was organizing my studio so it didn't feel like people were hanging out in my bedroom. By placing my giant, comfy couch in the middle of the room I was able to divide my spaces and orient the focus toward the living and dining rooms.

Oh my god, this is such a wonderful apartment! So simple, so cozy. The layout of the space is amazing, and the built-ins are wonderful. And it's so cutely but simply decorated! Good job!
I lived in a very similar apartment but the layout wished it could be this. SO CUTE!!!!
As someone who lives in a vintage Chicago studio, love it! Your layout is great.
I'm just wondering (as I usually do with these posts), where is all your stuff?! I love, love, love this space and it's so well decorated but your clothes, your pots, your pans, your extra blankets, your cleaning supplies... where is it?
Would you mind sharing where you bought the pillow?
