I like the base colors, but those beige shades have to go.

I've been admiring these in the catalog, and they say you can have them with any of the mix and match shades they carry, so no need for the uninspiring beige shades

what shades would you use? I got a really nice green lamp for christmas and I don't know what kind of shade would be best. Here's the lamp:

Of course that link doesn't work. it's a really bright green - and all spindle-y. it's a great, vibrant color, but I'm afraid a big, bold vibrant print will be too much.

When I saw the new Pottery Barn catalog, I was so pleasantly surprised to see the yellow lamp and throw. I've been wanting to add some yellow touches to the living room, but surprisingly I didn't see it in any store. It's such a happy color to have in the home.

So I've been dying for some yellow lamps... and as soon as I got this catalog I ordered these in the marigold. They just arrived this weekend and I'm a little lukewarm on them - the color is much more gold than the bright yellow I really wanted and the shape is not quite right. But, they are a really nice pop of color, I think just not perfect for my space.
