Chances are even if you rarely grill, you'll be grilling somewhere this upcoming holiday weekend. And if you're stuck on a sidewalk or small rooftop and aren't ready to commit to a Grillworks behemoth, these mini grills could be just what you need for a hot dog or two.
Mini grills aren't designed to cook a lot of food — these are really ideal for small affairs where a large grill isn't an option. They are also great for entertaining — some work right on a tabletop as a functional centerpiece (a place to keep things warm) or a station for guests to grill their own shish-kabobs.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Woohoo! I would love one of these. I love grilling but rarely do it cause I currently live in a NYC apartment.
Same here. These are very appealing!
I have a weber Q and love it. Very durable.
I bought the Weber Q100 grill a few weeks ago and love it. Its small but has a nice size cooking surface, heats well and quickly too.
Most of these are charcoal grills (love the taste, but not allowed at my apt...) - any other suggestions for mini-gas grills? Preferably ones that won't break the bank (i.e. - $50 and under). Thanks in advance!
i second the suggestion for mini-gas grills!
@audacious: Try the Weber GoAnywhere Gas grill. I have one, it's great in the winter time, and it's really low maintainence. As an added bonus, it's made in Palatine, Illinois, so you can be sure it doesn't have any lead or cadmium in it.
I have the marsh allen hibachi! we take it out to our nearby park every sunday for big picnics... its pretty much the best part about summer. Problem is though I have to leave it and the burning coals behind my apartment building till they burn out and often forget it... in three years at least 5 have been stolen.
good thing they're so cheap!
charcoal? really? its bad for you and the environment.
I recommend a cast iron grill pan instead, I got mine a few months ago and I love it.
We have this one: http://www.foodnetworkstore.com/ProductDetail.aspx?R=107928&ccaid=FNFROOG107928
It's less then $30 and we use it at least twice a week, and since it's cast iron it'll last forever. It's my favorite "go to" method for cooking extra veggies, grilled asparagus, zucchini, portabello mushrooms, random veggies on a skewer, etc.
I love our little grill (similar to the weber smokey joe bbq) we use it all summer on our balcony. Sorry neighbours..:)
Grill time, baby!
these are great!! and the price is reasonable for most of these!!!
I like the electric version of the Weber Q for NYC grilling. SAfe for all us small space city grillers.
The bucket grill was the worst mistake i've ever made... work with at least the size of a weber mini grill... or go with gas... but gas and charcoal both have their flaws.
