Anyone who's ever wished that ombré and color blocking would fall in love and procreate will be very excited about the advent of a new trend in color-dipped furniture.
This trend has been popping up all over as of late, and we can see why. It's springy and fun, not to mention an insanely easy DIY project to spruce up almost any furniture in need of a lift. It adds a pop of color and, whether you choose subtle shades or trendy neon, its small scale won't overwhelm.

Not feeling this..makes some of the furniture look like they got lazy and just decided not to paint the rest of it.

Love these.
I love these, too. The sections of color are in good proportion to the rest of the piece, and painted with a straight edge, so I don't think it looks unfinished at all.
new?
think pink :)
Hooray for this post! It reminds me of my latest furniture revamp that makes me smile everytime I see it. Take a tray table, paint it, dip it, and you're done: http://bunniesandstripes.blogspot.fr/2012/04/happy-tray-table.html

I love this idea! The pink bottom chairs from iVillage and the dipped table from The Inspired Room are very elegant. I would do this for a dining room.
