A Handmade Miniature Mouse Tree House

Sometimes we come across something so wonderful, so magical, it truly is indescribable. I would have to place this astounding Miniature Mouse Tree House in that category. There's almost nothing you can say that will do it justice, so flip through the photos and read on.

The creator, Maddie Chambers, lives in England and has twin boys. Inspired by the book Spring Story by Jill Barklem, Maddie decided to recreate the "crabapple cottage." She spared no detail, as you can see, spending 11 months building the entire structure from scratch and molding many pieces from Fimo clay (one example: an entire miniature basket of 3mm mushrooms, all made by hand).

Maddie's blog details her process in great detail, and she also provides many great photos of the entire project as well as the intricate details. You could get lost looking at all the small touches she added, and you might get inspired by her creative process.

Her first project was a handcrafted Lord of the Rings dollhouse that is definitely worth checking out.
