Philadelphia-based MIO has focused on eco-conscious, sustainable designs since their beginning — and now they've teamed up with Target for a collection of environmentally responsible products for outdoor living and gardening...
The MIO for Target collection includes a portable organic cotton hammock (with bag), solar lawn lights, bamboo and jute twine gardening tools, recycled watering can, an herb garden made from post-consumer recycled paper, and our personal favorite (and the most practical) a composter made from recycled plastic.
Prices range from $8 (gardening tool) to $99 for the composter. The assortment will be available beginning April 12 at Target stores. An edited selection of items will be available online at Target.com.

Thanks a lot, Target. I guess I'll be sucked in to buying some of these pieces when I go and buy my Miss Trish of Capri sandals on the 12th.
Are these still made in China like all the other "eco-friendly" items at Target? I love Target, really I do...but I do have a problem with buying products that support a false cause. A responsible Earth-friendly company thinks about all facets of their business, not just the materials used; transit is a major issue, as well. I'm just being a brat, I guess.
Edit: Well, their website states they believe in "local manufacturing." I'm interesting in finding out if they remain true to that. Cool.
i want that hammock!
Is this it? I would expect the collection to be a bit.... larger.
Oh, man, do I want that hammock. Now I'm wondering if there's some way to rig it up in my shoebox of an apartment with no outdoor access.
Does anyone know how much the hammock is?
The hammock will be sold for $59.99.
Since my thwarted attempt to find any of the Orla Kiely stuff I wanted, I'm swearing off all of these Target collaborations. They don't seem to keep enough in stock to meet demand. Target, you're on notice!
Jooly - Target is restocking some Orla stuff in April
I agree with Jooly. Why bother to promote these collaborations so heavily if you don't have any stock. Extremely frustrating!
