Here's an example of where we like the idea behind the product, but we're not so hot on the actual selection of finishes to choose from. The Mirr.Edge system allows you to fancy up that plan mirror sheet in your bathroom with a mirror acrylic or woodgrain finished polymer.
Like we said, we like the idea, as we've living in our fair share of apartments and homes with those cheap tab held mirrors. But looking through Mirr.Edge's selection of choices/finishes, we're left wondering if a DIY solution using framing material from an art/frame shop and some industrial adhesive would work just as well. It would surely give you a lot more options to choose from.

We did a mirror frame for a full wall bathroom mirror with simple wood trim, painted both sides black, and used silicon caulking to hold it to the mirror. The corner fitting was a bit tricky - measuring is very important and on one we were not exact enough and at first a small crack of mirror showed but we filled it with clear silicon and it disappeared.
I love it when the "after" picture not only shows the product, but countless other changes too.
We framed my bathroom mirror with molding and really strong velcro... that way we can take it off easily when I move or want to redecorate. It has held up very well for the last couple years. I love it!
I also framed the mirror because I was scared to remove it, due to horror stories involving the drywall coming off. We used molding and rosettes from the Depot and cut the pieces ourselves at the store. We painted all sides a glossy black and about 3 coats of poly. I attached the frame with mirror adhesive. I think it looks terriffic, especially for about $30.
I prefer edgeless bathroom mirrors, esp if they run all the way up to the ceiling or light fixture.
Our mirror was framed when we moved in, but it was black, and I wanted white. So I took it down, painted it white, and hung it back up. It was only then that I realized that I forgot to paint the *back* side, which is now reflecting in our mirror.
I haven't been able to bring myself to unscrew the damn thing and take it back down.
I have to say, I kind of like the deco-ish look of that acrylic mirr.edge, though. What kind of price are we talking about here?
