We've written about our love of hooks before- their utility, their form, their ability to transform a small space. Given this love of hooks, the moment we came across Sarah's DIY landing strip featuring a series of personalized hooks, we just knew we had to share! Sarah took a small space and gave it a big function just by adding a variety of hooks and a small yard-sale shelf.
The hooks vary in size, color and shape, making the area look more like it grew organically over time. Some of the hooks hang low making them accessible to children while others are high enough to keep dog leashes and long scarves clear of the floor. Some of the more decorative hooks are hung directly on the walls, while those that were plainer have been mounted onto embellished wood plaques to give them extra oomph. The key-shaped keyrack is an especially good idea for a family on the go. All in all, a fun and functional landing strip that corrals the detritus of family life with style.
