The internet is aflutter with anticipation for Target's Missoni line, its biggest designer collaboration to date. Early reports stated that we would see home goods and fashion, but here at Ohdeedoh we've been wondering, what's in it for the kids?

The last time we saw Missoni do something for kids it was the Bugaboo + Missoni Collection, a luxury brand's way to customize a high-end stroller available at a prestige retailer (Neiman Marcus). This collaboration will be a 180 in terms of accessibility and affordability.

The Target marketing peeps have been working full-time to build buzz and mystique, and this week they joined forces with tumblrer/twitterer Marina at All The Way Up Here to reveal the first images of the collection.

While critics question the viability of a Missoni/Target collaboration because of the gap in production values, we are particularly interested in decorative items that could be used in a child's room. Missoni's gorgeous and energetic use of color and pattern are perfectly suited for kids' decor and fashion but beyond reach for most. We are also marveling at the timing of this launch coinciding with the chevron frenzy; it looks like the signature Missoni zigzag figures prominently into the collection and we can't wait to see what else is in store.
