What I Love About My Entryway:
I love my tiny entryway where I designed a fully functional place for shoe storage and display.

I hid an electrical panel by hanging art on the bold pattern hand painted wall. The “fauxdenza” is built from an affordable Ikea cabinet that I modified. I also added gold painted faux tin panels on the door. Underneath the cabinet, I am able to store a pair of boots, slippers, a stool for sitting down to putting on my shoes.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Entryway:
- Use the vertical space to add shelving and hooks as needed if you don't have room for furniture.
- Add a personal touch like hanging art and displaying small objects. This creates a welcoming and inviting feeling to the space.
- Create a focal point. It is more interesting when entering through the door.
