Elizabeth Turnbul decided to bring her own house to campus when she begins her graduate program at Yale's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. The 8' x 18' mini-mobile home incorporates three solar panels, a composting toilet and propane-fueled heating and cooking...

While there are still some problems to solve (where is she going to put this house?), this is an inspirational idea. Check out the full story: Yale Student To Bring Her Own Little House To Campus.

This is cool.
a composting toilet in a tiny house is a bad idea...
That will be one smelly and hot house in the summer
Many composting toilets are far different than your typical "outhouse".
This is fascinating, I don't think I could live in such a small space but I hope she is successful at it, maybe she will start a blog about her experiences living in such a small space, I would love to hear more.
I really enjoyed that article -- thanks for posting it. I admire Elizabeth and feel sure she'll overcome the problems she has left. I'd have loved this when I was in grad school.
