At the most recent Ambiente 2010 Consumer Goods Fair in Frankfurt this collapsible kitchen concept was presented, and we love the simple, utilitarian design. While it may not be a "real-life option" for our everyday living, we love the design and the specific focus on compartmentalization.
As a child that grew up with The Container Store on her list of favorite places to go with mom, our attraction to the organization factor of this mobile kitchen module isn't a surprise. Designed by Burkhard Schäller, there are three different iterations of the kitchen: a sink model, a cooktop model, and a cutting surface model. Fully collapsible, featuring silhouette outlines indicating where each utensil should be stored, and done all in white, we think it is adorable!
It makes us think of the old adage, "a place for everything and everything in its place."
