So lovely...and at $545 (before shipping) oh so expensive.

This would be a relatively simple DIY project for a novice-woodworker. I want to try.

I cannot agree that this would be a simple DIY! The design is beautifully simple, but I predict that if you try this for your first woodworking project you will discover just why such a simple thing can fetch $545.

Hoping I can find these (or similar) cheaper on my trip to Japan.
