We've had Mod3rnart's iStudio site bookmarked with the intention of checking it out before now. We finally had the opportunity yesterday to dive into the site (and loved what we saw). Mod3rnart (a showcase for handmade jewelry) has a section titled iStudio. iStudio is chock-full of artists' work studios--which gives us a window into each designer's life. iStudio's belief is simple, "where artists work is sometimes just as interesting as the work itself"--and we agree. Some of our favorite workspaces after the jump!

Hints of yellow and robin's egg blue with vintage suitcases down below make this spot a cozy place to work.

While this artist probably turns the light on to work--we love the mood created with decorative red lights and lace curtains.

Crisp, clean and white, a work area positioned next to a window with a view is our favorite way to create.

Large planks of hardwood floor and an industrial desk look great mixed with a white wall displaying bits of inspiration.

These places all look pretty for the picture but seems very unlikely any of them is actually practical for work
I actually have plenty of room to put in a cute craft area. Then again, it just becomes another area that I have to clean. Maybe keeping it all in boxes and dragging them out when I'm feeling all crafty is a better way to go....for me personally. But if I DID put an art area together....this provides a lot of inspiration.
