Modern Addition to a Historical Property

This addition to a Georgian townhouse in London manages to bridge the gap between historical accuracy for a protected property and a modern addition that houses two new bathrooms and a utility room. Designed by Henning Stummel Architects, the two-story wooden addition hides the windows among the horizontal timber siding.

The project description from Henning Stummel Architects is especially interesting — check it out at Contemporist | Extension to Georgian House by Henning Stummel Architects.
