We're kicking off Kitchen & Bathroom month with some modern bathrooms from the portfolio of 1100 Architect. We've enjoyed their bedrooms and custom staircases recently and knew there was some bathroom eye-candy to share...
These bathrooms are all spacious — a luxury many of us don't have! If your bathroom was spacious, what luxury feature would you be sure to include? A clawfoot tub? A shower with multiple water jets? Double vanities and sinks? A bidet? A steam shower? Tell us in the comments.

You could fit 3 Tiny Houses into that bathroom!
Clawfoot tub
Hug edgeless shower with multiple jets and a bench
double sinks are tacky.
I'd like a jacuzzi tub and some tiled-in wall niches for towels, shampoo and body goo and a heated tile floor...
...but a bathroom doesn't need to be the size of a studio apartment to have those.
Are double sinks tacky? I think they are practical if sharing a bathroom.
whoops. I think I prematurely posted!
I was apologizing for using the word tacky. I was saying that I manage to share a sink just fine and that I consider double sinks to be along the lines of three-car garages, his and her walk-in closets, and kitchen islands--things that may be practical but that are nonetheless best avoided.
We'll have to agree to disagree, djs. Aesthetically I find them no more offensive than a single sink. As far as being practical, comparing a double sink to a three car garage is a stretch. I like to avoid spitting out toothpaste on my husband's face or hands when we are getting ready in the morning. I don't have a double sink. We bought a condo with *gasp* separate bathrooms. :)
Open space is what makes a bathroom luxurious. A bathtub can only get so big before it's so much trouble to fill that you stop using it regularly. A shower can only get so big before it feels cold in there, and too much like you're showering in a gym. A vast expanse of counter with two matching sinks can make a home bathroom feel like a hotel (a look that many people like, I realize). If space (or money) was not an issue for my bath remodel, I would install a beautifully styled, freestanding tub that held the normal amount of water for a bath (no oversized or jetted monstrosities). I'd do a walk-in shower that was just large enough to move freely, and plumb it with just one showerhead, and a hand shower for cleaning the walls and the dog. I would probably do the two-sink thing (I'm married), but would place them on two separate counters. I would not do a separate room for the toilet, which I think is unsanitary (no hand washing in there!). The rest of the space I would leave open and airy. I would have a comfortable chair, and perhaps a bench, but keep lots of open floor. I like to lie on the floor and cool down after a hot bath...
if money were no object:
japanese-style garden bathhouse with a big hinoki tub, indoors would have to be a vichy shower in a a modern rustic bathroom white tiles and marble and maybe some wood, double sinks for sure, and a steam option for the shower
I think double sinks are ingenious. His & her sinks are so useful and kind of cute in my opinion. If the option is there, why not?
Space is definitely a luxury. If only we all have completely blank slates to work with... and a limitless piggy bank!
oh that shower! So fabulous!
Maybe they are his and his or her and her sinks.
You know, I remember walking into a women's bathroom some years ago,...and there was a sofa in the middle of the room. I've wanted one in my bathroom ever since.
Kudos to FJ!! for total representation.
