The International Furniture Fair Singapore 2011 was chock full of designs and designers from all over the world. But being a local, it's always great to see the Singaporean designers and their creations. This year, there were plenty to peruse — especially in the modern and contemporary style.

Singapore is home to some very strong and renowned design schools like Lasalle College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Singapore Polytechnic — to name a few. And there are some fantastic design shops that showcase local designers and collaborators. So it was no surprise to see some very cool furniture from some talented locals at the recent IFFS 2011 expo.

The above images show just a small sampling of some of our local designers and I hope you get a chance to peruse their websites to see additional images.
