I love (and own) the Celadon pattern from Crate and Barrel. I love the subtle color, pattern, texture, and clean design.
Oh, link:

This past weekend, I drove up to Sausalito and toured the Heath Pottery factory:

It was fascinating to see how they make their dinnerware and tiles - and the factory shop has plenty of "seconds" for some really great prices!
I would add Iittala of Finland's award-winning 24 Hr dinnerware, which IKEA has shamelessly ripped off as their 365 day pattern (the earlier version, before they had square plates).

I also really like Mud of Australia's porcelain line

Along with Tse Tse of Paris' Hungry line

They come as either plain white porcelain or with a gold or platinum glaze, either inside or out.
Another is Paola Navone's New Baroque line for Reichenbach

mmmmm... American Modern! I love it! I have a set in bean brown I inherited (select pieces in other glazes too), but since it's original, I'm too scared to put it in the dishwasher. I still use it, but not as often as I would otherwise...
Why isn't Heath Ceramics on the list? Their dishes are modern and timeless and beautiful! We registered for Heath's Coupe line for our wedding and are so happy we did. http://heathceramics.com/
i think my square and rectangular white dishes from target are modern, easy to live with every single day, and very practical for stacking in the cupboard.
for china, i've never seen a pattern i like better than the set my grandmother left me (which is west wind by harmony house). it's really beautiful without feeling fussy or old-lady.
now what i really need is a modern (or vintage modern) sterling flatware pattern. don't let me down, apartment therapy!
i love the adonde line but noticed that it seems to be missing a few pieces on the dwr website. are they discontinuing it?
I love Mud Australia but they are a bit pricey for me. When you start adding 12 of this, 12 of that... Does anyone have recommendations for something similar but less expensive? or where to get them at a discount?
