Have modern homes finally gone mainstream? This is a Modern Gingerbread House from Red Envelope...
This holiday cookie house is made to look like a mid-century modern home. Funny we're just now getting around to this. The icon of "house" is still not of a modern design, but this is a big step. Via: Design Milk.

Totally mainstream. That's pretty cute, though.
This looks vaguely similar to the Incredibles house.
Wende - just had to ask, does this strike your fancy? Seems like something you'd dig....
Hejiranyc - I agree!
Again with the 's: "the Spencer's." It's a plural, not a possessive, so no apostrophe: "the Spencers."
Sorry, that's my daily grammar rant. I'm done until Monday.
kate -- Oh, I'm totally fascinated with it!
Other than the roofline, that's a very Phoenix house, too.

Maybe it is short for 'the Spencer's House'.
Archie, if "the Spencer" was one person that would be correct, but if it was "the house belonging to the Spencers" it would be "the Spencers' house" - in that case it's a plural AND a possessive.
Thanks Kat98. That was bothering me.
Of course, if only one Spencer lived there then "The Spencer's (House)" would be correct.
It is awfully cute.
"Of course, if only one Spencer lived there then "The Spencer's (House)" would be correct."
Then that is what it is.
we made a modern gingerbread model of our house last year using graham crackers mod*tot loved it.
No, if only one Spencer lived there, it would be "Spencer's House." Unless Spencer is like The Drake. ("I hate The Drake!")
Does anyone know where to get modern gingerbread house templates?
