Having never hung mistletoe in our own home, we were curious how many people out there modernize this most traditional holiday bit of decor.
Our new CB2 catalog came in the mail yesterday, and with it, our curiosity about mistletoe which was featured front and center on the cover.
Left, mistletoe springing from a CB2 glass teardrop hanging vase ($4.95)...looks sleek and festive at the same time.
Another modern mistletoe along with a few pre-kiss ideas below:

i forgot all about mistletoe!
i've been married so long, haha
Mistletoe. Not just for holidays anymore!
I'm thinking of decorating my place with bits of it here and there (not overkill though). Any reason to kiss.
For a hard-edge Modern space, I'd use a disk of 1/2-inch Lucite with the word 'mistletoe' silkscreened (or engraved) in green lowercase Futura (or maybe Helvetica) within red brackets, and I'd hang the thing on a green silk cord.
