Plant-in City is the brainchild of artist and entrepreneur, Huy Bui. Interested in devising new ways of interacting with nature in the modern urban world, Plant-in City terrariums were born. Each terrarium combines modular architecture and can function on its own or units can be stacked to build new configurations. Each terrarium is built employing sustainable design and comes in natural wood or a steel version.

The wood version uses locally sourced lumber and simple Japanese joinery for construction, and might include bark or live-edge. The steel collection offers structural shapes that aren’t always achievable in wood and comes in a variety of finishes from rust to a black patina. Both styles often incorporate ceramics, minerals and plants to enhance each design.
