Modern Mums

Mum's the word in early fall, and we see the potted plant popping up on everyone's front stoop. We love chrysanthemums as a sign of the fall season, but they always look a little... country. We'd like to see them sharpened up a little bit from time to time. Like this:

We'd love to see more big, round chrysanthemum plants in geometrical zinc planters, for instance. Or button mums (image 4) always seem to have a crispness to them. Do you have mums out at your home this season? How do you keep things fresh with this plant?
