Modern designers rarely reinvent the porch swing, so when we saw the beautifully clean-lined Wabi Lawn Swing by Francesco Rota for Paola Lenti, visions of mint juleps and warm summer nights danced in our heads.
But when pricing is available upon request, that can only mean one thing: over budget. Fortunately, we found some inspiration for porch swings that are pleasingly streamlined and seemingly simple.

these are all lovely!!
Wow, I love this, I have a place for a daybed on my front porch, and I think I could handle the step-by-step directions. But I'm unclear on how to determine if my ceiling would hold something like this. Can anyone tell me what to look for?
Molly - found this on the link provided by Lowes - info provided by their creative team. I was wondering the same thing.
"The chains used in this project are designed to use with boats and are plenty strong to hold people and the materials. Attach this project to 2x beams or joists. We recommend no more than 2 large adults sitting or 1 large adult sleeping on this project at one time. A safe weight limit would be 500 pounds. "
