Riverside in da house! If there are any AT:LA readers living in the Inland Empire that are also interested in mid century design, you'll be happy to know there's a blog and website dedicated to the preservation, cataloging and appreciation of this large city's design history. ModernRiverside.com was started by Tanya Rathburn Sorrell, an "active architectural historian working here in So Cal...

She created ModernRiverside.com and the Modern Riverside Blog to "raise awareness for the recent past in her home city, and to give an internet home to her growing collection of 4x5, 35mm, and digital photographs." Check out some of Riverside's modern treasures, including this cool building originally designed for the local Red Cross chapter (it's now a church) by design icon, Albert Frey, completed in 1961.
