At KBIS we noticed a real trend toward more classical shapes and motifs and less hard edged pieces for the bath. Toto was showing a really interesting bath collection, Aimes, which combined very traditional design elements with a modern simplicity of form, illustrated here by the console from the collection. It's essentially a slim-lined, almost flattened version of a bombe chest - a very post modern look for the bathroom!
What do you think? A forward looking interpretation of a classic shape or trending toward too cartoonish?

It reminds me of an old stove.
I love it!!
That is steee-range. Like vvn, my first thought was "wow, that looks just like a wood stove!" I don't know how much I like the classic shape without the classic details. Pick one thing and do it well, not "pick one thing and make a 2-D version out of construction paper." Ha.
I think it would look less like a stove and more "finished" with a couple of simple brushed steel handles or knobs.
