So many of us use IKEA's utilitarian Trofast system for storage. It's sturdy, kid-friendly and easy on the eyes. My kids use the top as a play surface and to display certain toys, but here's a great way to modify the Trofast if you're in need of seating.
Just cover the top with padding and a pretty fabric and you've got a comfortable bench seat with ample storage underneath. We spotted this over at IKEA Family Live. Anybody do something similar to this with their Trofast?

Nomade Express Slee...
Yes except ours is in our Kitchen next to the back door. We each have a bin for shoes in it and a few bins to hold potatoes and onions.
Please tell me what that fabric/wallpaper is and where I can get it. It's adorable.
I think the fabric is Sandberg Tyg & Tapet's Saga. It's one of the first fabrics that I ever bookmarked (years ago!). If I'm correct, you might have to buy internationally...
You're good, Thanks!
I slid it into a little alcove to make a window bench. Love it.
I did this to ours & posted a tutorial on how to do it. If anyone's interested, you can find it here: http://heathernow.blogspot.com/2011/07/tutorial-easy-to-make-window-seat.html
