We were looking around for a tear drop light for an architect friend this morning, when we stumbled upon this stunning pic of the Molecular Light 8, sitting - oh, so peacefully - next to a classic Eames lounger. We liked it even better.
The Molecular Light 8 is by Buro Bur Form, a Munich based design studio that has been coming up since 1998. Their Molecular Series takes this basic molecular ball approach and works it through pendant, table and floor lamps with one to four to eight molecules. The price of this table lamp is a bit high at $1,199, but that's the price of German engineering and light filled beauty.

What a gorgeous picture.
Maybe the next round of art pictures (like the previous chair pix) should be lighting art.
The contrast of the modern, raw, exposed, unfinished concrete, the careful angles of the light fixture, the old architecture of the blurred distant city scape, and the sumptuous curves, graceful reclined posture, and hinted leather surface of the chair.. what a great pic.
