We got a sneak peak at the MoMA Store’s Fall Collection, and Green thinking has definitely made its way onto the shelves of this high-style retailer. These items aren’t even on the MoMA Store site but will be appearing and available soon. Wind-Up Radio Just like the new James Bond, this rugged looker has a lot of tricks up its water-resistant sleeve. Self-powered AM/FM/TV-VHF radio, an LED flashlight, a red signal light, a siren, a cell phone charger, and an earphone jack. Whew. It can be powered with the built-in hand crank, an AC adaptor, or three AA batteries (not included) $65. Perfect for the next time ConEd dims the lights... Rescued Paper Notebook Set There’s something slightly poetic about paper getting such an inspirational a new “leaf” on life. These sketch- and notebooks are handmade from discarded materials like bags, architectural plans, artwork, and envelopes, which have been collected and bound. For the artist or journalist, doodler or dreamer, you’ll never be intimidated by a blank piece of paper ever again. And you’ll feel good knowing the paper is capturing images and ideas, not getting tossed into a landfill. Made in England. Set $30. Sneak a peak at other items from the MoMA Store collection at AT: NY, AT: Home Tech, AT: The Nursery and AT: The Kitchen. - Patrick (the other one)
