Our search for the perfect modern coin bank may have ended. The Money Box plays on the "nest egg" concept with this ceramic, egg shaped container, that looks a little like a face.

The Money Box was designed by Kensaku Oshiro for Vlaemsch. We're also tickled that the packaging consists of a shredded paper "nest" — we might even display it with the paper.

This is beautiful, I must have it!
I don't know; if I'm interested in building my nest egg, I'm not going to spend $34 to buy a pretty but empty shell. Maybe I'll head over to the toy department where I can find an ironic piggy bank for a couple of bucks?
Hmmm ... plus it is small at only 4" high.
worth every penny and a whole lot more.
Cute design but not usable. My favorite coin bank is the Coink, by Mint. It can take spare paper money as well as coins, and is easy to dump out when you need quarters. It's also adorable. I have one:

Pretty! But I still like my volcoino by Umbra best :)

Yeah, this seems like a bit of a Dadaist joke. No way you'll break even. Better to get yourself a balloon, slap on some paper mache and voile! Free nest egg.
