For those who live in urban areas, buying things in bulk to save money can pose a serious problem: where to store the excess in a space-challanged apartment. And for those living alone, that two-dollar mega-sized jar of pickles can last, well, basically forever. So divide and conquer.

That monthly CSA box that you've been dying to get but is just too much produce for one person? Go in with a neighbor or friend and divvy up the spoils. It might take a bit more planning, but that is never really a bad thing when it comes to your budget. Buying in bulk can add up to serious savings, and when you can walk away with only as much as you need, all the better.
