Our summer season is very short, even summer days can be quite cool sometimes, I love being outside anytime I can. We love to BBQ, have a drink in the evening, and eat on the patio whenever we can. I love sitting on the lounge chair while I work on my laptop.

I live about 35 minutes SW of Monica, and in the winter we pull our bbq right up to the patio door!
New house in the plans has a covered area for the bbq.

Living in the UK, I can sympathise with you. I've recently used, for the first time, our beautiful garden parasol, which was purchased 3 years ago!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would kill to be in all that snow. Our winters in Ottawa are super snowy too, but with this oppressive heat wave (44 degrees (Celsius) = 111 degrees Fahrenheit) I wish it were February right now!
I know, I know....typical Canuck....always complaining about the weather. It's not the heat, it's the humidity. :)
