Ever since we laid our eyes on this powder room in Lonny Magazine, we've been slightly obsessed with how the monogrammed hand towels just add the perfect finishing touch. So we did some research and were surprised to find out that monogramming is widely available and it can costs as little as $5.

Monogrammed bath towels are available at Horchow, Target, Land's End, JCPenney, and Neiman Marcus.

These monogrammed linen hand towels are available at Gracious Style.

Or if you're feeling crafty, you can try your hand at making your own, using Martha Stewart's simple instructions here.

I agree that Monogramming is a great way to not only personalize items but make things that are relatively plain more decorative.
BTW: It's not "Land's End", but "Lands' End".

What is the wallpaper in this image?
Yes....that WALLPAPER is GORGEOUS!
The first one looks like a design from Leontine Linens - which would could quite a bit more than $5!!
Monograms are so old school..... some people might find them superfluous and basically ridiculous now but in their time they were a standard of taste and class.
As a kid i used to go through my grandmother's trunks.... she moved to our house at the time but never really emptied the trunks so it was one treasure after the other.... i just loved to discover a lot of very nice stuff and it included tons of linens for the home (tablecloths, napkins, runners, pillow covers, bedding), all kinds of applications and most of the were monogrammed in the most wonderful designs.
It was so beautiful that when i moved to my own place i seriously considered doing some of that myself... Not done it yet.... though....
That wallpaper is a mural by Waverly called Light Foot. If you double-click on that page in Lonny, it takes you to the source. http://www.waverly.com/products_information.php?id=5510130&productType=2
I was thrilled to learn it wasn't some to-the-trade thing, but sadly the dimensions of the panels don't work for me.
