Pottery Barn has gone off the rails recently.
as if one's bedroom would belong to anyone else? this seems ridiculous.

Monogrammed sheets and towels - Of course.
Monogrammed shirts and luggage - Why Not?
Monogrammed cocktail napkins and barware - Perfectly appropriate.
But Monogrammed walls? I don't think so.

never understood monogrammed or personalized anything...is it like in case you forget? i know its my robe or my family's towels. as a guest, i know who's house i'm in, thank you very much! i just don't get the point or the decorative appeal.
I will always love random letters and numbers, but I feel about monogrammed walls the same way I felt about the monogrammed sweaters my grandmother sent me when I went to college in the hopes I would pledge her sorority.

Monograms show thought and care about your choices, and in this era of big-box retail-sameness monograms can make common items uniquely yours - The tradition goes back hundreds of years to coats of arms in medieval times.
And it sure as heck beats designer lables.

I've bought wedding gifts from them before and they have great wall art that is easy to remove.
I've always thought monograms were kind of egocentric.
I have been considering a similar look lately...there are a few shops on etsy that have some cool monogrammed decals
agree with jooly on this one. Having it on luggage may have it's place, but pretty much anywhere else - no thank you.
I recently had an indie wall sticker company I buy from tell me that Pottery Barn called to say they'd be knocking off their designs (tweaked slightly, of course) and just wanted to let them know. It makes me look at Pottery Barn and the related companies they own differently.
The monogram I love- preppy chic. I'd just get it from Etsy or a local shop and support someone who's work I love!
