Montrose Green for Sale!

Philadelphia

Do you remember when we wrote about Montrose Green last January? Emily and Christopher Stromberg were doing a complete green renovation of their Philadelphia rowhouse. Well, the house is now complete and for sale! Their blog, Building Green on Montrose chronicles their experiences turning a 100-year old, single family rowhouse on the 1500 block of Montrose Street in Philadelphia into a home that is currently registered with the USGBC and is pursuing LEED for Homes Platinum certification...

The home is currently selling for $565,000. It includes 3 bedrooms, a large study, 2.5 baths, open kitchen, living, and dining room, a landscaped yard, and roof deck with living green roof and skyline view. The design integrates reclaimed and recycled materials with a modern aesthetic, tall ceilings, clean lines, and custom wood/metal work.

As we mentioned in our earlier post, it's inspirational to read Emily and Christopher's Sustainable Strategy and see in action the potential to lovingly restore an old rowhouse while simultaneously giving it a very green update.

Make sure to check out their blog if you're thinking about doing a green renovation yourself, as it'll provide you with invaluable tips and information.
