I HAVE to have the blue fabric on the sofa! What is the name of it?
Mood is great, but it happens regularly that they do not have a certain fabric I am looking for. Most recently, a simple Hopsack fabric for Herman Miller chairs and Missoni fabric, or anything closely resembling it. If you come thinking you'd like to get some ideas on refinishing a piece (or creating a garment) it's great, but when you have something very specific in mind it can disappoint.

I work about a block from Mood and so have ambled in during lunch a couple times. The salespeople are very helpful and knowledgeable about inventory, but I was surprised to find that they didn't carry Amy Butler fabrics.

I love Mood, but the shops one block farther west are substantially cheaper...just sayin'.
I had heard that the buyer from M&J Trimmings was now the buyer at Mood. Mood's trimming stuff seems to be much cheaper than M&J.
Mood is not where you go to save money, but it is a great resource for inspiration and some unique fabrics. Occasionally they will get discontinued bolts of really interesting material from fashion heavy hitters. You are still looking at $30-$45 a yard for those, which makes them a bargain for fashion projects but really puts them out of range for most money saving diy interiors applications.
